Be the Revolution

Every year we follow the sun’s journey through the sky and we mark the Cardinal points as the beginning and ending of the seasons. The December 21st point when the sun is at 0 degrees Capricorn is the darkest point and it calls us to go within and explore the dark where the shadow lives. It is the coldest part of the year so it is a good time to go within and explore the shadow. Reflect on where you have been in the past year and what you have done. Get to know parts of yourself that you want to nurture and grow and the parts of yourself that you want to release into the darkness. The shadow is an important part of who we are. It is often ignored or pushed away. It isn't necessarily comfortable for us but it is a part of ourselves nonetheless and where there is light there will be a shadow. So take the time to get to know yours so as you evolve you can integrate it.

On the same day Saturn and Jupiter will meet up as they do every 20 years. This time they will meet at 0 degrees of Aquarius. When Jupiter and Saturn meet up they bring in the energy of not just a year but for the next 20 years. It is the energy that we will collectively be called towards. Aquarius represents among other things individuality and revolutions. It is ruled by Uranus and out of all the planets it embodies individualism. It has rings like Saturn but its rings are vertical instead of horizontal, it is on its side and it rotates counter clockwise. This is how Aquarius energy shows up as well, it is not subtle and it doesn't conform. It wants you to be who you are here to be. As you dig down deep in your shadow maybe there is some part of yourself that calls to be brought in to the light that makes you who you are as an individual. The Saturn Jupiter conjunction will be affecting us all on some level and you will begin to see a move towards individuality but it is important to bring out your unique gift and add it to the mix. See where you can integrate your uniqueness into the collective. It could be the change we have all been waiting to see and feel.

Also on that day the moon will be passing the 0 degree mark of Aries it will square the sun at 0 degrees of Capricorn. The moon rules our emotions and the sun represents our souls. Aries is the first sign in the zodiac it deals with our ego which like the shadow is an integral part of who we are but is often suppressed. With the moon passing this point it is going to be a great time to emotionally get in touch with the ego of your soul. Aries is ruled by Mars so you may feel as if you are ready to go on this day or as if you have missed your opportunity, but that isn't how this energy works. The energy from the Saturn Jupiter conjunction will be around for the next 20 years and the Sun is at its darkest point so give yourself time to really develop who you are and what you want to add to the world. The Sun is going to journey past Saturn and Jupiter and on the spring equinox it will be at the 0 degree mark of Aries where the moon will be on the solstice, by then your soul might feel ready to launch into who you need to be.

All of these planets being at 0 degrees is representative of new beginnings. I think we are all ready for a new chapter. The chapter that we are ending has been around for a long time. Remember to honor your individuality and give yourself time to authentically step into this next chapter. We are all so used to following time and dates but the planets and the energies they bring do not follow our clock, so find what feels good for you and bring on your own individual revolution.
